WELCOME Die Marke MÖVE Der idyllische Ort Großschönau in der Oberlausitz wird auch gemeinhin als die Wiege der Frottierweberei bezeichnet. Hier, an unserem heutigen Produktionsstandort, wurde im Jahre 1856 das erste Mal in Deutschland überhaupt Frottier gewebt. Die Marke MÖVE selbst erblickte im Jahr 1927 das Licht der Welt und entwickelte sich rasch zu einem führenden und beliebten Frottierhersteller. Bereits 1970 geht die Strategie von MÖVE – Qualität Made in Germany – vollends auf und die Marke ist deutlich bekannter als die Wettbewerber. Heute befindet sich das Familienunternehmen in der 3. Generation und fühlt sich nach wie vor dem Standort Deutschland und den Mitarbeitern vor Ort sehr ver- bunden. Soziales Engagement sowie umfangreiche Investitionen in innovative Produktionsmethoden und neue Technologien zum Schutz von Flora und Fauna stehen bei MÖVE gleichberechtigt nebeneinander. The MÖVE brand The idyllic village Großschönau in Upper Lusatia is also commonly referred to as the cradle of terry towelling. It was here, at our present production site, that terry was woven for the first time ever in Germany in 1856. The MÖVE brand itself first saw the light of day in 1927 and quickly developed into a leading and popular terry towelling manufacturer. As early as 1970 MÖVE’s strategy – quality Made in Germany – was a complete success and the brand is much better known than its competitors. Today, the family business is in its 3rd generation and still feels very much connected to Germany as a business location and the local employees. Social commitment as well as extensive investments in innovative production methods and new technologies for the protection of flora and fauna are equally impor- tant to MÖVE.
